bob d.....since you can't seem to get it through your party loving head. I was here saying stop the spending.....but you were too busy crying about how the world is not fair to you. I don't care if you are a Rep or a Dem, anyone who defends the spending, which you are obviously doing, doesn't have a clue and isn't worth my time trying to argue with. READ MY LIPS........"YOU" all are to blame for the spending......because you do not hold your party accountable. You see, I am not to blame......BECAUSE I DO, AND ALWAYS HAVE, HELD BOTH PARTIES ACCOUNTABLE......yes, I am yelling this out...because apparently you don't get it. Now, go back to blaming me because your party is trying to outspend the other party....how dumb do you have to be to not understand all of this......come on people....geeeess

kathy a...."No, we complained when he started a war based on false claims of WMD's."................It is the job of your elected officials to know the facts before voting, are you holding them accountable? All your elected officials voted "yes", are you saying that they voted for war without confirming that this information was true? I mean, it would really be awful to vote for something that you don't know the facts on......ohhh wait, you all let them do that daily...meaning, vote on bills that no one gets to see or read. Stop blaming others, if you aren't preparred to hold your own responsible. None of them have a clue what they vote on anymore, war or no war, it is their JOB to know what they are voting for.....period..........

bob d....your post at 10/17/2009 4:23 PM makes no sense at all. This is the problem with all of you. Lets see, Bush spent like there was no tomarrow so that makes it right for BO to match and exceed that spending...problem is, it only took him 9 months to do it. You all need to get over yourselves, if any of you had any &%$#%^& you would stand up to your parties and make them conduct actions in the best interest of the country...not revenge on the other party. Good grief, you people are arguing on which party suckked the most.......NEWS FLASH TO ALL THE PARTY FAITHFULS.......both parties suckk and couldn't find their way out of a paper bag.......unbelievable!!!!!!!

Looks like we could have provided health care for everyone in Minnesota with Health care for what Minnesota's cost of the Afghan/Iraq war. http://www.nationalpriorities.org/tradeoffs?location_type=1&state=27&program=585&tradeoff_item_item=286&submit_tradeoffs=Get+Trade+Off

No, we complained when he started a war based on false claims of WMD's. We complained about the money spent on this useless war but mostly we complained that our young men who were sacrificed in this needless war. Now back to the rarity of smart women in the hierarchy of the Republican party.

Greg, actually, Obama took the high road during the campaign. McCain/Palin lost that election all on their own with a little help from GW.

What happened to McCain when he actually tried to say Obama was a decent man that just has a different political philosophy? In typcal, radical GOP fashion, the audience turned on him like a pack of wolves. The party has no ideas, no vision, and no sense of the future and needs new blood in leadership. I don't see why women can't do it just as well as men and I'm certain they can't mess it up any worse than the current group. They can't even stand up to Rush Limbaugh! The lunitics are running the assylum in the GOP, and the angry right just keeps shooting themselves in the foot supporting those GOP leaders.

An article about the GOP being a bunch of angry white men and some of the more extreme here turn it into Obama bashing. To say his entire campaign was mud slinging shows just how bad it's gotten. Just because he pointed out differences in policy doesn't make it mud slinging although I suppose the fumes from the crazy bus could make one believe just about anything. Still one more person on the ridiculous right that shows reality is lost on them. The GOP is in danger of becoming a marginalized, southern male party (with a few scattered crazies everywhere) and they'd be wise to listen to this author.

"Greg S. Willmar, MN 10/17/2009 11:12 AM , so BHO used that as his party platform: Bashing Bush."...... "Casey O. Kerkhoven, MN 10/17/2009 10:18 AM What "mud" did Obama sling at Palin?"..... There's YOUR sign.

What "mud" did Obama sling at Palin? He didn't sling any mud. If he had resorted to McCain and Palins level of mud slinging, he would have lost the election... Has a presidential candidate EVER selected their campaign rival to be their VP? I don't think any ever have and I would have been disappointed if Obama had selected Hillary for VP because they were such rivals and Hillary had a crowd that held her husbands short comings against her.
