Rick C: I have no questions about the W.H.O. If you have any, I would suggest you educate yourself. If they say things that are not in keeping with what you choose to believe, I can understand why you would choose not to believe them. They have no reason to lie, whether they say things you agree with or not. They are an arm of the U.N. based in Geneva, they have no political persuasion whatever. Those are the facts, no matter what Rush tells you to believe.

It is documented that the U.S. spends much more on heath care than any other nation on the planet. Is our health care good? I believe it is. Is it better than anyone elses? According to the W.H.Org. it is not. Why would they choose to lie about this? I only have experience with the Canadian and American systems, and found both to be more than adequate. Our life expectency is not as high as many third world countries. You can have the best health care in the world and if you cannot afford it, what good is it? This is the issue at hand. Once again. YOU CAN HAVE THE BEST HEALTH CARE IN THE WORLD AND IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, WHAT GOOD IS IT? This is the issue at hand.

Craig H., if our healthcare is so bad, could you give me an explanation for the following : For women, the average survival rate for all cancers is 61 percent in the United States, compared to 58 percent in Canada. For men, the average survival rate for all cancers is 57 percent in the United States, compared to 53 percent in Canada. http://www.ncpa.org/pub/ba596

On the other hand, it's predictable to see you're still being a douchebag, John.

Everyone should read "The Healing of America". It's a look at our system vs. other countries and reviews the pros and cons of all. While none are perfect, by almost every measure, the healthcare outcomes are better in other developed countries than here and costs are lower. I'm sure the extreme right will just label it as "liberal" without even knowing the author though. They simply can't fathom that their opinions are simply not supportable by facts. Good to see that John is still attempting to misinform the public while trying to diminish those that can actually refute what he says. A nice reminder why I stopped paying attention to him a long time ago.
