Does Barb work for insurance companies? Does she own one? What is Obamacare? Right now we have bills in the Senate and the House. We have possibilities. Pres. Obama hasn't signed anything yet. Let's give it a chance and see if real reform can take place that will expand coverage, reduce costs, and be deficit neutral. This is both a moral issue and a math issue.

This letter talks about the average cost of health insurance today and projections for 10 years from now but where are the numbers for the cost if Obamacare is passed? Even the CBO says the premiums will cost more than if nothing is done and Price Waterhouse says it will cost $4000 more 10 years from now over the cost if no changes. I remember Obama saying last year that his health plan would save $2500 a family. If that's true then why will taxes need to go up by $1 trillion? Shouldn't taxes go down to reflect the $2500 per family savings?
