While I understand your frustrations (and feel them myself) it's not the judges you all need to be mad at. Their hands are tied. Minnesota has sooooooo many sentencing guidlines that the judges can't make many decisions on their own anymore. Tell your representatives in St. Paul.

Kevin - I heard you, but decided to ignore you...I figured you likely had John (your usual sidekick) with you....and meeting him would not be a good thing for either he or I. We'll have to think of a code for the next time you feel a need to scream my name @

Maybe the judge can help her pay the money back and give her a nice place to stay while she's here on probation, being she (the Judge) seems to feel sorry for her! When will it ever stop! These people like it here in Willmar, Moneysota! Things are good in Kandiyohi County!! (Well, at least for them!)

I think I'll have something else for Thanksgiving instead of turkey. Between our county and Jennie O , I am paying a lot of money for that stuffed bird.

Here's the thing. Our judicial system is failing us. A sentence like this just proves that there is no punishment for stealing from all of us. I blame the judges for not protecting us, the fraud investigators (who I know are swamped with cases) for taking so long to bring these situations to light, and the people teaching others to take advantage of the Americans generousity. Lets enforce the laws or let everyone go. Take a look at the DUI laws and how they are enforced and apply some of that enthusiasm to the cases of fraud.

Casey - I've heard that there are people out there 'recruiting'....I heard one confessed to being a republican who took the job because he's still upset that McCain lost....he wants to make the Dems look bad, so he took the job for no pay and claims to be a democrat....of course, he's now on welfare himself, being he is working for the republicans for no pay.

Matthew R. New Market, MN 10/30/2009 10:03 AM, you are so right. Just the other day I had numerous people come up to me offering me to live for free if I just applied for welfare. Last week, I had so many flyers in the mail demanding me to apply for welfare and one man even came to my house chanting, apply, apply, apply. I begged him to leave and he told me that I can run, but I can't hide, they will get me to apply.

Another reason why welfare is a joke. How many people in the nation would one guess that are doing similar things to the system. I bet there are hundreds in Willmar alone that are pulling off similiar scams. Guaranteed there are people living way better off of receiving those 'benefits' as the left likes to call it than the people that pay the taxes. Libs are doing there best to get as many people on the government payroll as they can either as a direct employee or a dependent (ie welfare etc.) Unfortunately Minnesota is widely known as a very friendly welfare state, there is a great deal of incentive for those who want said welfare to move to this state and apply for it.
