Let the irrational and immature name calling begin apparently! How did I know that an adult conversation could not be held for any amount of time!

I understand that there may not be much of a risk, but I am telling you that I totally understand the desire not to have this in your back yard! The threat is always there and there is no guarentee to safety. I don't care how much the equipment is better than it used to be there is still a threat. I agree it would be good, but I told you I look at things from both sides! I see the good, bad and alot of the ugly! By the way John, You keep asking everyone to repost things they have posted...go back and find it...that's what everyone else does when they want to see an old posting!

I agree John that off shore drilling wouldn't be a bad thing, but no one wants that in their back yard. It is just like the ethanol plant that was built not that long ago. Everyone thought it would bring work, but no one wanted in their town. As a small town ours couldn't say no to the opportunity. Now we face a plethera of dangers and issues. I can see the side of having the drilling, but I also see not wanting it near your area. There are very dangerous consiquences that go with drilling. Some are perminant.

So when the dollar is stronger, gas prices will come down correct? If there is still a surplus? Are we taking any bets?

ok John, The problem is not where we get the oil from...well it is but it isn't. The problem is the fact that dispite the fact that we have more fuel than we can handle the gas prices aren't coming down! The supply vs. demand says that in times of low amounts of things prices go up, in times of surplus prices go down. Well, we now have too much gas stored up, why aren't prices coming down? It is costing more money to store it than can be made off of selling it!

Denise, just a heads up, John saves everyones post. I know, it's a creeper thing. He does look through where ever he saves them so months later he can throw something in somebodies face that they said _____ on ____ date at ____ time. Too much time I guess. This is just an opinion board, but I guess he takes it as a gospel written in stone and does not consider when things are out of context, they may have a different meaning. Sigh

Well John....I have looked through many pages and have not found where you offer a solution to any problem! Yes the back and forth is good, but I think it gets rediculious when people aren't offering another point of view just pulling the "Kool-aid" statements! I think if you offer a real opinion how how to make things better then there is something to talk about if you just want to tell me that I am spouting things I have been fed, there is nothing to discuss. If you want to have a real discussion with someone who is well read and can speack from both sides of the isle let me know! I am up for a good challange, and love the back and forth!
