Craig- Discussion is a problem. I blame both sides for that, not just the right. The party in control always holds the upper hand. They discuss what they want to discuss.

Keven, I don't count you as the extreme. I do think there are real questions that need to be asked but the crowd that continues to cry socialism when there hasn't been a single proposal to eliminate private health care takes away from the debate. It's the "tea party" crowd that clearly will turn any issue into an "I hate Obama" protest rather than the real issue that attended the rally today. They continue to try to stop debate rather than participate. Most Americans want some kind of reform but the extreme keeps getting in the way of discussing what real reform is.

Ray- You definitely want to stay away from that insane socialized medicine program they call Medicare. You know, that government-run, single payer health insurance that covers millions of Americans. Tell your honey, Michelle, to get rid of that horrible program. While you're at it, get rid of VA benefits, too, which is also a totally socialist program. Those several thousand people sure must represent the majority of Americans- right, Ray?

Ray- the crowd estimates ranged from 3,500 to 10,000 at the most. We get that many people out for a high school football game around here. Your numbers are preposterous- get real!!

Craig- Yes, most people want reform...not govt take over. I've never claimed to have all the answers, I surely don't, but there has to be a way to get insurance and provider costs under control, without the govt getting into the insurance business.

Hahahaha, hundreds of thousands..... right. Thousands maybe, hundreds of thousands, not even close. Of course, the GOP supporters have to hang their hat on something I suppose. Even at 30,000 that would only amount to .01% of the country's population. They just can't seem to get that their view is not the majority view and most Americans want reform. Crazy is as crazy does. http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/11/bachmann-refuses-to-speak-about-chief-of-staff-resignation.php http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/11/05/health.care/ http://mediamatters.org/research/200911050027

Just two days after Obama's humiliation hundreds of thousands rally in Washington to protest the Democrats insane socialized medicine bill. This rally was organized by our own Michele Bachmann...GOD I'm proud of her!!

Harold to answer your comment, yes I did not appreciate the extreme attacks on President Bush. We have a right to disagree, but the personal stuff really does more to embarass ourselves than add to a political discussion. I have yet Harold to see a positive post come from you in all the years of following this site. Even when attempting to lift up your side, you seem to only be able to do it by tearing down and attacking the others. In debate we were taught to use this technique only when we got to the point that our argument did not have the facts and information to stand on its own, that is when you would turn up the heat and tear down your opposition.

No Larry, they are the Republican party's worst nightmare. They appeal to a fringe element of the party, and all they are doing is splitting the GOP party. Please check out E.J. Dionne's commentary today and see what really is going on in America. The new governors in NJ and VA are not from your party, Larry. They are from the other GOP party that can still attract the moderates and the Independents.

So the GOP won in NJ and Virginia for governors but it is in no way a referendum on Obama and the GOP still has a long way to go. Ben you are correct but the likes of Larry and Harold do not understand, instead they make incorrect statements and rally around a couple of governor races that still show the GOP a long way from getting to where they want to be. Until radicals such as Palin and Bachman come to their senses they will continue to hurt the party when it counts.
