I am wondering too why didn't they answer radio calls.. if they were using laptops.

Bad move by professional pilots who have hundreds of people's lives in their hands. Also where was the military who should have been alerted as soon as the plane ventured off course? The pilots were not the only ones who dropped the ball. The pilots have a great deal of responsibility and hopefully lessons will be learned for their lack of good judgment.

Kathy- Have to agree with you. If they were awake, they would've answered the controllers when they called.

I'm sorry, I'm not buying it. They came up with the story that would put them in the best light. The FAA didn't even confiscate the "laptop" they said they were using. Those guys were sound asleep.
