Todd- NO TEA PARTY PERSON EVER CALLED THEMSELVES THAT NAME. Where do you get your info from. Oh ya - probably that really reliable msnbc channel. And 1 more thing - the Tea Party movement was NOT started by Fox.

The term "tea-bagger" is NOT a derogatory term meant to demean a certain segment of society. It is a derogatory term used to describe a certain act (that can be performed by anyone sporting the proper equipment). The Tea Party organizers (who obviously knew no better) decided to name their movement after it. If you are offended, complain to Faux News and their inept research department!

Isn't anyone else offended by the word "tea-bagger". I find that word offensive. It's a derogatory term meant to demean a certain segment of society. Therefore, it should be removed!!! Oh, I forgot, it's aimed at conservatives so it's perfectly okay. We just can't offend liberal groups. P.S. Scozzafava is an ultra liberal who, it has been rumored, planned to change parties as soon as she was elected. Hoffman just made her change parties sooner. Actually getting within 3% is pretty good for someone who just came on the scene a month ago.

Publicity. The difference between Repulican and Democrat in-fighting. Seems that Democrats know how to keep their internal issues to themselves... while Republicans prefer to self-destruct out in public, and in the media. The reason all this internal Rep. turmoil is talked about so much is because the Rep. representatives keep airing the dirty laundry out on main street, so to speak. The Republicans did not fall back quietly to regroup and plan a new strategy for a better defined, focused, and determined party - the Republican party did quite the opposite - they split into teams, slapped up an amateur wrestling ring out in the front yard, and started tossing contenders into the ring to fight it out for control... for the rights to the Right. The spectacle isn't helping anyone in the Republican party - it's just providing exciting fodder for the crowds to consume.

Instead of looking ahead to 2012, let's work on the here and now. There are enough Dems in the house and Senate to pass anything. Why haven't they? I vote mainly Dem, (never a straight ticket) but am rethinking that idea. Todd, you can name all kinds of candidates on the Rep side, but without some progress in Obama's reign, will he be re-elected?"Git er done!"
