Here is poll numbers on doctors saying in 65% to 33% margin they are not in favor of healthcare. The scary part is 45% of those would consider leaving thier practice early. http://www.mrc.org/biasalert/2009/20090916051118.aspx

Cathy g: Let's see now. First the ditto heads said that health care reform was not necessary. When the were proven wrong, on that point, they said it can't be good, because the AMA was against it. When the AMA came out in favor of it, they said they were a leftist organization, of rogue doctors, only 30% of whom, were members, so they don't count. Then they said it can't be good because AARP was against it. When AARP looked closely at, it they gave it their stamp of approval. Then they said they were a leftist organization not concerned with the welfare of their elderly membership. When will it end? They think everyone is against them. Whine Whine Whine! Everyone is agains them, because they are loonies who are spoon fed what to think by Fox noise and hate radio. Were these fact not true, they would still be in Wash. and not on the outside looking in, where they belong.

Gary lets be real, the right has a habit of launching scare tactics at just about any controversy the the GOP is engaged in. I have received mail making some of the most outrageous claims, and what is shocking is how some people eat that up! I hope Brian K is going to abandon any ideas of running for any public office, he is to far out their and makes little sense with some of his claims. Brian no offense but you lack the knowledge and the skill it will take to be successful in public office. Your last argument about the government health care and the companies that compete with the government, really painted a picture in regards to your lack of knowledge on the subject. Also you have anti-government views which are not excepted in public office. Todd has a vast knowledge of health-care, and Joe R has written a book on the private prison industry which is called beyond the private walls, which should be out in 6 to 9 months. Many of us have given him our input on the subject. Howard as far as pizzas are concerned I am a NY pizza fan, especially after working private corrections in NY, no one here can even hold a candle to NY pizza.

Thanks Todd for clearing some of that up I have had others who commented on people with long term illnesses such as MS who are in the early stages and have private health care that drop them. They say he can receive medicare, but the rules are not clear unless you research it. I do know you can apply three months before you turn 65 but thanks for the remaining information. Gary there are those who swear the sky is falling whenever change may come around that they are against because their party is against it. I have heard repeated scare tatics that have not panned out yet some continue to use them to try and sway others who are undecided.

Joe, some days you are making sense and some days not so much. Why is it that anyone who dares disagree with the patheticness of lazy liberalism is using scare tactics? And why are you always so scared?? If i believed half the garbage coming out of liberals mouths I would be scared too! No one is using scare tactics except the liberals. They want us to think that if the rich working man doesn't give up his hard earned cash to the "effort challenged", the sky will fall.

Howard I buy pizza that appeals to my taste, and I come from a pizza city no big deal, I was just giving my opinion nothing personal. Howard where do you get the scare tactics from, Rush? Beck? Hannity? If you have your own health insurance then keep it, no one is forcing you to change. The people without any health care are the real victims, and the reform package is targeted to remedy this. The government is not trying to put the private health care companies out of business, just adding some competion, and hopefully drive down the costs. Some people are paying one third of their income, is that fair Howard? In this day and age no one should be without health-care, because of the huge costs that come with getting sick, or other long term health problems sometimes through no fault of their own. Every business should provide health-care, but the government is not forcing small businesses to do that. The health-care industry is also acting like a God, even when some people have been paying into it for years. One accident, and one costly medical procedure, and you could be dropped. You cry about government failure, yet some of you say people who are dropped, can get on medicare. Yes three months before your 65th birthday, or if you suffer a real long term disease such as kidney failure, or MS. If you need a transplant and your young, you are at the victim of private health care, especially if they drop you. Also those who lose their job will have cobra for three months after their termination, but they have to pay for the full monthly coverage. After three months or their inability to pay for coverage due to job loss, you could be uninsured, and with kids its a remedy for finanical disaster. Sure the burden can go to the state, but then again tax payers still pay for that.

Howard, you Republicans just can't learn and read, can you? If you don't purchase a govn't run plan, you've got the private insurers to work with. Plenty of choices!
