Rick C: Tell us about the Catholic Church. Please! Tell us of the Popes, throughout history, who killed, fornicated, and stole the wives and property of others. Tell us, of those put to death, for having the nerve to claim that the earth was, indeed, not flat. Tell us of those like Copernicus, and Gallileo, who were afraid to reveal their discoveries because they feared being put to death by "your Catholic church". The Catholic Church is full of scoundrels throughout history. Scoundrels that would make Charlie Manson look like a Sunday School choir boyl. When you are done with that explanation, tell us of their moving pedophile priests around to different parishes, so as not to expose them to the penalty of law. There have been more deaths caused in the name of religion, than any other cause. Have you ever heard of the Crusades? Millions were killed. Stalin and Mao pale, in comparison to what has been done, in the name of religion, and in the name of God. Please explain to us how God feels about what has been done to his church.

robert h: Amen. Judge not, lest ye be judged. I don't think we need any "keyboard commandoes" explaining scripture to us. Let them worry about their own souls. You speak the truth. "Live and let live".

When you were young, and your heart was an open book...you used to say, live and let live (you know you did you know you did you know you did). But when this ever changing world in which we live in, makes you break down and cry...

Joe, the Church does not condemn homosexuals but does condemn the behavior and relationships. The Church does the same with heterosexuals. It does not condom the individuals but does condemn some of their behaviors and relationships like adultery, premarital sex etc.

Just some points for discussion Jon. 1.Genesis 5:3-5 (NIV) When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 2. Incest not forbidden until Leviticus. There is no indication that Cain had any children with Eve. 3. No place in the Bible does God condone multiple wives or Abrahams relationship with Hagar. Because men satisfied their carnal desires by taking more than 1 wife did not change God’s prescription of marriage as one man and one woman. 4 Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (NIV) 28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. in any other society at that time the woman would have been considered damaged goods, unavailable for marriage and dependent on her family the rest of her life if they would even do that. In this situation she is assured of being taken care of the rest of her life. Not a great situation by todays standards but pretty good compared to then. 5. Lots wife was not a pillar of salt when he married her. 6 Judges 21 7-23 No place does the Bible say God approved of this action. 7. 1 Chronicles 3:1-35, 2 Samuel 16:19-21 and 1 Kings 11:1 are all situations where man violated Gods design for marriage and suffered the consequences for their actions. Again, No place does the Bible indicate that God approved of any of these relationships. 1st Chronicles 2:35. I don’t have any more time for this tonight so look up some of the passages and see what you think. Latter.

joe if you don't agree the Catholic Church then find another church. NBD. The deaths perpitrated by athiests like Stalin and Mao far exceed anything done in the name of Christianity. Abortion supporters in this country are even catching up with Stalin and Mao in #'s killed. BTW joe hypocrits are all over the place. If you don't mind shopping with them at the malls why should it bother you to go to church with them?

Rick you think because you bring up a site it justifies Catholics and the church from condemning someones life style or who they are. The church has no business in politics, and that is what we were always told. This country is about many religions, and there are those who do not believe in God, or the church. I may believe in God, but I don't agree with some of the things the church does, or how they sometimes operate. I have seen a good deal of hypocrisy with religion. More lives were lost because of religious beliefs then all the wars put together. Do you believe in God, no, your dead! Do you believe in God, yes, bang your still dead, you didn't believe in my God.
