Rick C: Tell us about the Catholic Church. Please! Tell us of the Popes, throughout history, who killed, fornicated, and stole the wives and property of others. Tell us, of those put to death, for having the nerve to claim that the earth was, indeed, not flat. Tell us of those like Copernicus, and Gallileo, who were afraid to reveal their discoveries because they feared being put to death by "your Catholic church". The Catholic Church is full of scoundrels throughout history. Scoundrels that would make Charlie Manson look like a Sunday School choir boyl. When you are done with that explanation, tell us of their moving pedophile priests around to different parishes, so as not to expose them to the penalty of law. There have been more deaths caused in the name of religion, than any other cause. Have you ever heard of the Crusades? Millions were killed. Stalin and Mao pale, in comparison to what has been done, in the name of religion, and in the name of God. Please explain to us how God feels about what has been done to his church.

robert h: Amen. Judge not, lest ye be judged. I don't think we need any "keyboard commandoes" explaining scripture to us. Let them worry about their own souls. You speak the truth. "Live and let live".

When you were young, and your heart was an open book...you used to say, live and let live (you know you did you know you did you know you did). But when this ever changing world in which we live in, makes you break down and cry...

Rick you think because you bring up a site it justifies Catholics and the church from condemning someones life style or who they are. The church has no business in politics, and that is what we were always told. This country is about many religions, and there are those who do not believe in God, or the church. I may believe in God, but I don't agree with some of the things the church does, or how they sometimes operate. I have seen a good deal of hypocrisy with religion. More lives were lost because of religious beliefs then all the wars put together. Do you believe in God, no, your dead! Do you believe in God, yes, bang your still dead, you didn't believe in my God.

Rick we all know there is also suppose to be no political views or involvement by the church in anything political, and Catholics are taught not to judge someone who maybe different, or who are viewed as sinners. When you have views about homosexuals, or abortion, then you are making a judgment about somone, which is something the church tells Catholics they should not do. How many times does it happen on this site?

Rick yes, according to you and your philosophy and literal interpretations of the Bible, she should have....but look at Jesus save her from an archaic rule, one that is in the Bible. Is it possible that Jesus would save a gay person too? Don't see why not.

Although you say your church has a pretty literal interpretation of the Bible, it would seem to me that they (you) have chosen the parts which you choose to follow. I can understand that but then I think that instead of making the claim that your way is the "right" way according to the Bible Your claim could more likely be that you are living your life according to your (or your churches)interpretation of what the Bible wants.

We aren't supposed to judge others....so those who do judge others are not abiding by the "sin no more" advice....which, as a result, makes them no different than the homosexuals who continue doign whatever they do behind closed doors, no different than the couple living together unmarried, no different than every other sinner on this earth....and to think they believe they are more golden than others....mmm mmm mmm
