And Gary, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what is going on in this situation.

Wow Larry, you really don't see your comments as being just as bad as his? Really? Calling someone an embarrasement to an entire community based on a comment he made here? Sometimes everyone deserves a good name-calling (myself included) but the hypocracy is quite amazing. "It's ok if I call you anything I want but you are a fool for calling me names" Seriously Larry, if you don't see it by now there's no point in continueing to point out the obvious.

Had the city council acted right away and put the chief on administrated leave things would not have seemed worst then they do now. Had pops just stated he was stepping aside so a conflict of interest couldn't be alleged there would have been little to talk about except what the Chief was alleged to have done. All the goodness someone may do, can be erased with just one bad lack of judgment. Sad! This just goes to show that everywhere you go there is a degree of politics.

Most of the people I've talked to from Danube would agree Les jr. was a nice guy. However, they also think he should be relieved of his job. Its not as if he planted flowers too close to the property line....he STOLE $9000! If he's convicted, there is no choice to be made by the city council...he loses his license...he's loses his job. I think this whole thing will likely affect Les Sr the most - he apparently thought he could cover up anything....this dose of reality has taken that white pedestal right out from under him.....people will see him in a whole different light from now on. He can thank himself, as well as his son.

Is this really that much of an issue in Danube? Do most people really want him to remain in his position if found guilty? I really can't believe most people would continue to want him as an officer of the law. I will say the story done by Fox 29 sure made his dad look bad.

Larry, what do you mean who did you insult? inappropriate yes but instead of just saying that, you said this: "I would guess he is an embarrassment to Watertown also, and they would just as soon not claim him either. I guess Bob’s stupid statement revved up his own RPM’s, which is about all he has." So my question is still, how old are you?
