So Brian K should people on any jury have to worry about retaliatation? This is our justice system, and if we have to fear putting these terrorists on trial because of reprisals, then we are losing the battle. Brian It seems you are using excuses, and continuing to present bad examples. You are complaining about dishing out 95 million for a trial, yet we give Pakistan 150 a billion a year in aid.

Brian - since 9/11, this country has successfully prosecuted more than 100 individuals for acts of terrorism, in federal civil courts... just as this trial is set for. Some of those people were cohorts of this guy. And those trials have happened in NYC. What's the difference? Press coverage - media-driven panic and fear - sensationalism. Let the system work - it's the system that our soldiers fight and die for every day... it's part of freedom, and democracy.

Just heard on C-Span...........an estimated $95 million for this trial to take place in NY......how #$%$# stupid.....very nice.......whats a few million here and a few million there for a trial that could have taken place at Gitmo. Please defend that...............

Carie L....I am looking at the big picture. You are bringing someone who was not arrested in the United States into our criminal court. Anyone on the jury will have to have secret service protection for the rest of their lives....regardless of the verdict. This will go on for years and years....for what? To simply make Bush look bad. I would like to add.....what an awsome attorney general we have.........he sounded very much like he didn't think out this decision before making it. Lets face it, it is all political........and childish.

kevin t....I got a kick out his comments that the mistakes on the reports are irrelevant......ohhhh really, telling lies about how many jobs were saved is irrelevant. I don't care about the lies as much as the response.....the errors are irrelevant........wow...........

Teleprompter? What about winning every debate during the election? No teleprompters there. Say what you want about Pres. Obama, but he is clearly very, very smart, very, very articulate.

Brain K - It's not so much about blame, as it is about the circumstances being what they are... because of the events that have all culminated to today. Laying those issues at the feet of Bush/Cheney doesn't negate the upcoming trial. As usual, Brian - you seems to zero in on one little statement and decide to pick that apart, rather than focusing on the entire picture. I did not bash Bush, or bad mouth Reps or Dems... just laid out the circumstance. I can't help what that is. And, yes, Brian - getting justice for the victims of 9/11 is the priority. I never said it wasn't. I simply pointed out the difficulties in accomplishing that - do the difficulties not exist if they aren't talked about?

No slams, just facts? What a joke! Obama didn't denounce the act? He most certainly did. Bowing? What about Nixon, Eisenhower, and Bush? Ya gotta love the lies and hypocrisy.

Dan C.....you mean the Dems don't actually control the House and Senate? How about you demand results, not offer excuses. While traveling to Texas, I got to hear a few injured Ft Hood people speak about the BO visit......I think it would blow your mind as to what they had to say about our wonderful commander.....these actions make his two minute prelude to the tragedy look like nothing......google it...............
