Craig- People want reform. What we have heard is not reform. This will not lower costs. The people are against the bills broght forth so far. Do you really think the dems will cut medicare 500,000 billion dollars? Doctors are against this house bill 65% to 35%. Out of that 65% about 45% will retire early. Boy we will be in great shape then.

Health care will raise costs? You still don't see how costs are going up too much already and why? Is it possible that costs will actually go down because hospitals won't need to charge extra to make up for the uninsured or underinsured? The only way to control costs is to make sure everyone is covered and therefore able to pay, that's basic economics. Hmmm... polls have said the people want health care reform, polls said 4 years ago that people wanted us out of Iraq, and polls said most of this country thinks the stimulus was good for this country. Now you think polls matter Larry? Funny how that works for you.. the only time something matters is when it fits your already skewed agenda and if it doesn't, it must be some sort of liberal conspiracy.

Sam K a small percentage of people do not drive, and to drive you need insurance period, even if its to protect yourself in case you cause an accident. You still get tickets, and you still go to jail, ask all those people in this county and other counties who have been in jail for driving without insurance. No Sam that is a pretty good comparison, but as usual you and the far right try and down play it. Sam the only lies coming out of DC are the right, who try all they can to undermine the president especially since they support the lobbyists who are totally against health-care reform because of profit. Wake up Sam, its people like you are are trying to make this country a third world country with all this radical thinking. Even if healthcare reform is defeated the president at least took the next step to a dream many had of providing everyone with affordable healthcare. What have you or the Republicans come up with? Oh wait, a plan that supports abortion, well imagine that the hypocrisy of the right continues, and continues, and you wonder why your party is not in office. A disgruntle and frustrated party who is also losing ground, because of people like Rush, and Beck who are trying to hijack the party. The efforts of BO can only serve to strengthen the party down the road, because the only opinions and roadblocks come from Republicans who chose to protect the wealthy. Like the saying goes "putting forth no effort is nothing but a continued practice of living with failure"

Joe- Auto insurance is a poor comparison. For one thing you don't need auto insurance if you don't drive. Also if you don't have a loan you don't need full coverage. Insurance rates can vary greaterly depending on the kind of auto you drive. I could go on. Your 40 million is hogwash when you brake the numbers down. You lost the independent vote by 2 to 1 you should be worried the lies being told today. Obama has lost support faster than anyone in history with his double talk and Nixon style of governing. You talk of another era you are lost my friend. The stunts the terrorists do not give them equal rights. These trails will end up being about Bush and will drag on and defeat the purpose. I stopped commenting on here for the most part becuse it does no good to bring common sense. You and others spew your party line venom and talking points and forgive all the lies coming out of DC. Taxes will not go up for anyone making less 250 grand. Then pass cap and trade and lie about its costs. Healthcare will raise costs. Keeping unempolyment high seems to be a goal becuse investors see no reason to be taxed to death. Wake up. With two elections that took a 20 point swing you still don't get it.

Sam your bringing up a different time era when America was fighting for their freedom from an enemy in uniform. Attacking Iraq and ending up in a sandtrap is not the same, it is a war that did not need to be fought just like Vietnam.The fight is with Bin Ladden. What are we proving by torture, denying due process, and guarding people who should be tried for the alleged crimes during 911. I have no problem seeing them sentenced to death if convicted, but how do you just strip them of any rights, and hold them forever with the tax payers continuing to support them? Cathy is right the victims of 911 need some closure. Of course people like you want a holy war, which means only one thing, more American casulities, destruction, and a bunch of American money going over-seas. I guess if people like you are so for the war, then pickup a weapon and man a post! Cathy has a good point, a point you fail to see. Sam we are fined now for not having auto insurance and can go to jail, so did you look that up in the constitution? Now tell me what is more important, health care or auto insurance? If 85% of Americans don't want health-care reform, then why is it an issue, and why has the president been bombarded by the people fed up with the high cost of health-care? But the big question remains, how much more money do you think tax payers are going to want to fork over for health- care, and why do over 40 million have no insurance whats so ever? People are spending one third of their income on health-care now! Now that Obama wants the prisoners tried and moved, the right is screaming the sky is falling. Good grief, give me a break.

Larry H.........ohhhh larry......there was no bus action....I just don't make political friends. I think you know that I don't jump on most of your posts, I only respond to excuses and denial. Right now the Dems are in control...of course I am going to attack every stupid thing they do.....just like 4 years ago I was attacking the stupid things the Reps did....just not on this site at that time.

Larry I think your mixed up, you seem to be the one who is always coming up with the opposite, and its usually to the extreme. The stimulus did create jobs no matter what your expectations are. Had corportions failed the unemployment rate would have been higher then it is now. and that is simple math. The eighty five percent that you are claiming was made by a company that also offers life insurance, and makes billions as a consultant for none else then the health care indusrty. Larry you never proved the people Obama oppointed are indeed tax cheats, seem they were never convicted of being tax cheats, just people behind in their taxes, which could be for a number of reasons, but none criminal like you are referring too. Your interpertation of Obama turning this country into a third world country has more to do with the far right then the United States of America. We are doing the things third world countries are doing, such as denying due process to prisoners. Torture of suspected terrorists, and a former administration that was circumventing the constitution, by spying on private citizens, and taping their phone calls. Those are what third world countries do Larry, get a grip. Larry where is your proof that Obama has not choosen a church of his faith because he is Muslim? For your information Larry, Obama and his wife attended the first baptist church in Chicago all the time before leaving to go to Washington. The family has not decided what church they will attend in DC, but they have narrowed down a few. I guess that disproves your so called Muslim connection. But lets say he chooses the Muslim faith, how many Americans are Muslims, and they are respected Americans? Your misleading information and stereotyping continues to only prove you have little, if any creditability, because you jump on the first part of a story without reading the full story. You simply despise the president period, and like others on the far right will do and say anything to make the president look bad. Why should any of us be shocked at this behavior, they have been doing this ever since the man declared his run for the presidency, and that is a fact!

Cathy- What you don't get is after WW2 the trails were held not in the middle. Also with no uniforms German were shot in the head on the spot. They were considered spies. Many other war crimes have made this a different matter like hide behind inocent people and firing guns and killing people. Thier rights should have been given up when these things were done. As far as lies why are you not bothered by the whoopers being told by this adminastration? Tranparentcy? Give me a brake. I remember Obama asking Hillary "how large of fine she would charge if you don't get insurance?" Like he would never do that. Now some have mentioned jail time. Some people in congress have been asked were in the constitution they can force one to get healthcare. A fair question that has not yet been answered. Maybe you can point it out.
