Bob in hindsight I wish I would have refrained from naming names, those I listed were those on the page as I posted, with the exception of Harold who I was frustrated with from a different post. Greg. If you find me extreme then you must really be on the far end of the Right.

Laurie G., was that the joke of the day? Ben C., has valid points but your posting history does not support your agreement.

Ben C., since you named me directly, I have to respond. Never once have I said anything disparaging against President Obama personally. His policies and his governing, yes, I do not agree and will address my opinion as such. Now , I might remind you Presdient Obama campaigned from the middle and won the election - so be it. But what I see, IMHO, is he is governing from the center of the left(this is confirmed by those on the far left who are not happy and those liberals on the center right who are questioning their support) with the country still going center right. I might add the country (USA and territories) are focused on jobs and the economy while the President is focused on foreign policy and healthcare. Many will agree with me on that position. Since I see you have only named those who have opposing policy comments or are from the right, logical conclusion tells me you are not an independent. Yes, I also criticized President Bush and am very glad McCain was not elected president.

ENOUGH! Don't you people on the extremes get it? We (the center majority) are tired of your attacking eachother and beating down our elected leaders who are from the opposition party. We are tired of listening to you blame the other for what is wrong in this world. We are sick of sitting back and watching you disrespect the office of President of the United States. I am talking to those who disrespecte both President Bush and President Obama here! When are you going to realize that we are not going to take your stances anymore. Those Republicans that one election earlier this month did so because they ran positive campaigns and plan to govern from the center. In the House race in NY the Democrat one the seat held by a Republican since the Civil War, not because they promised to govern from the Center as much as the people up there were angry that the likes of Tim Pawlenty and Sarah Palin stuck their noses in their affairs and forced out the Republican nominee who was much more center driven, and replaced her with one of their extreme right buddies. So Larry, lynn, Bob K and Harold we are tired of you! We are tired or your constant attacks on President Obama and your constant blaming of lifes problems on one party. We don't want to hear it anymore!!! And those on the left please don't fall into this similar trappings and go on the attack or those of us in the center will leave you behind as well! I call on other moderates to stand up and tell these people enough is enough. We live in the United States of America, not the United Republican or United Democrat States. This country was made great because we learned to disagree with respect and to govern with pride and compassion not with anger, power and greed! You on the extremes are killing this country and unless those of us in the middle start to stand up and stop them, I fear we will not have much of a Country left! (sorry I just needed to vent my growing frustration with the extremes!)

Ok - I read Bob D's link... now my head hurts... trying to make sense of that... ugh. Sarah herself says she knows very little about politically important issues... how could anyone think that she should be elected to the Oval office - just who's puppet is she going to be?

Bob d., I read your link and I was amazed. At least she has insight. It would do well for everyone to read her entire Couric interview.

Bob K - I have no wagons to circle... please don't presume. I simply voiced an opinion about what I see happening... I'm not saying that I want the party to fail, or break apart... I'm not advocating for one party or the other. I'm simply saying that what's going on within the Republican party right now is not helpful in terms of accomplishing the party's overall goals (win back majorites, the presidential office, etc...). In order to really accomplish those things, the Republican party has to unite, come together, and present a stronger front. That's all I'm saying.

Watched a bit of the interview with Oprah... heard Palin describing her interview with Katie Couric,,, Sarah said, first, that it was to be a series of sessions... if the first sessions went well, then subsequent sessions would be scheduled. Sarah then said the first segment did NOT go well... but that additional sessions were scheduled (4 or 5, she couldn't remember) because, Sarah said, it was to be a series of sessions... Sarah said that both she and the campaign staff knew it didn't go well... then Sarah said that the campaign staff told her it was a great interview and scheduled more sessions with Katie, and that Sarah just kept talking to Katie, as scheduled. When Oprah pressed a little, to try to clarify what Sarah meant (if the first interview didn't go well, why were others scheduled), Sarah stepped right over the question, in her typical sunshiney smiley way... like she hadn't contradicted herself in the first place. The bits I watched were full of Sarah talking in circles, contradicting herself consistently... and laying blame at everyone else's feet, including members of McCain's staff who are quick to come out with accusations of their own, and quick to provide what they feel is proof of Sarah's outright lies about them in her book. -- The whole point here is that Sarah Palin is doing herself no favors - she is only contributing to the continued in-fighting in the Republican party, which is playing out, sadly, very publicly... and hurting the party, as a whole. The Republican party should be busy circling the wagons and getting itself together, rather than splitting into corners and going at itself.
