Driver 2 DWIs, 2008 Kandiyohi County and 2004 Ottertail County - records readily available over the internet. What was he really fleeing from this time?

Willamr driving was my first comment when I moved here from the metro. I can't even describe it. When I was in Willamar a few days ago with my Dad, we both commented on how poor people drive in Willmar compared to when we lived in Mpls. Traffic rules must have been left at home. It's not any better in Alex or the Cloud.

How can you not notice someone in a cross walk, much less someone with his dog and a cane? If people would take the time to slow down, pay attention and maybe stay off the cell phones for a few minutes, some of the accidents that happen in Willmar (or anywhere else for that matter) might not happen. To leave the scene of an accident is inexcusable. I agree with Dianne K on the driving skills in Willmar, they are very low. My thoughts and prayers to the Sykora family.

I know Tom from working at the Legion. He is the most sweet, generous man alive! How anyone could do such a HORRIBLE thing....1st...OBVIOUSLY you can see the man is blind because he has a cane, reflective wear, AND his dog Nectar!!!!!! How dumb are you to not see him?????!!!!! 2nd...you leave the scene! COWARD is all I can say! My prayers are wholeheartedly with Tom...and his dog Nectar! I can imagine Nectar is struggling too...because they are very close!!!!!

Jason you are so NAIVE,you have no clue. I was there a few seconds after it happened and Mattson was gone he did a hit and run. The image of the injured man laying face first on the street is still in my head and it is so sad how anyone can hit someone and continue to drive over them and then leave. He is an alcoholic who has 2 dui's. So I am not making assumptions I know because unfortunately he was one of the dentists my husband did work for.His hands shook from alcohol withdraws,I don't know how he could do his work ,this guy should not even been driving at all.It was not and accident it was a felony. My thoughts go out to Thomas and his family. As for Mr hit and run heartless prick,I hope you get what you deserve and go to prison.
