Brian K - I never said she didn't have a right to go on a book tour... or on Oprah, or Barbara, or where ever she wants to tour... I could care less. The Dems aren't making "a federal case" over Palin's book tours, or interviews... the media is showing up where Sarah herself as scheduled herself to be, and informed the press of... It's Sarah Palin, putting herself out there, purposefully. She chose the method and means of publicity... and, hey, that's just fine... she can do that. But, like I said - if Palin didn't want to be a topic of discussion, she would be at home, in Alaska, or on the family fishing boat... living a life out of the public eye. I don't think the publicity - good or bad - bothers Sarah Palin one bit... I think she sees it all as a means to an end. And whatever that "end" may be... only Sarah Palin knows for sure.

Brian K, you must enjoy reading your own posts. Look at that, three within nine minutes! You could have put all of those into one comment. Maybe you can only deliver one rant at a time, then you've got to recharge. Oh, the enjoyment from type, submit, read, type, submit, read, type, submit, read. I bet you love slot machines, too.

You know had Palin not made the dum mistakes she made and the ill advised interviews on the subjects she did have a clue about she could have run more effectively. All she had to do was stay a bit under the radar and run on the issues effecting Americans which included some plans to fix the economy. Instead she looked for the interviews, attention, and basked in all the media and glory while attacking Obama on a negative level. She was her own worst enemy, and in the end it cost McCain more then it did her.McCain is going to write his book and its titled, MY FINAL DOWNFALL!

No Larry, Ms Palin quit when she realized that a instant celebrity in todays media market will be forgotten and ignored in 2 years. Even Sarah knows the big office is waaay over her head, but she's gonna make a bunch of money pretending. Wouldn't be surprised if this costs her a marriage as well.

Larry to pin point Obama on receiving a salary while running for president just shows your contempt for the president. Senators and other elected officials can campaign while holding their current office and they do it all the time, they don't quit. Carie is right Palin quit her job to write her book, using her new found fame she received because of McCain, who may regret giving her that fame until his last days on earth. Hopefully her book will not contain the ficition, that she used during her run for the VP spot.

Larry H.....your fighting a losing battle......reality does not sink in to most on this site. TO EVERYONE..........Now for my take, I feel anyone running should be able to keep their job while campaigning........however......not if it interferes with your current job. Therefore, all of them.....BO, Palin, McCain, and Biden should not have recieved paychecks for the entire year. Now can we end the debate about who was not doing their jobs while on the time clock.

Carie L......she has a right to go on a book tour.......it is the media that is making this an issue. Many people go on book tours.........but the Dems don't make a federal case over those.
