Bob - my batting average with John is extremely low... but I don't consider that to be a failure, neccessarily... ;) How are the snow levels out there? Neck deep yet? ... gotta love the snow, right?

Laurie - I agree. :) I am impressed, tho, that someone so small can bear the weight of a chip so large... (still LMBO...)

Carie - he was an E5 after 20 years....he has a huge chip on his shoulder...probably one of those short guys who's spent his entire life trying to be 'taller', as if that would solve all his problems.....instead, he ended up creating problems for himself and only himself....hence the E5 after 20 years ;)

Twice, John, apparently. Even so... you have yet to resist the urge... hahaha... predictable. Want to refer me back a third time?

If I am "out" after my "one strike", John... then STOP responding to me at all. Nothing I say should bother you or provoke response... demonstrate self control then, man.

Larry - you and Bob seem to have gotten caught up in a vicious cycle of back-and-forth... which is too bad. Seems you get under each other's skins, like Harold gets under mine... except that you and Bob will find yourselves tangled up in bickering for days. And once you allow yourself to get tangled up in that, it seems to spill out into your interactions with other people, too. -- All I was saying, Larry, is that I think that you are capable of better... because I've seen it.

Well, as long as you're not closed-minded and judgemental, John... Still have yet to see you post an actual opinion about the topic at hand... just posts denigrating other posters. ...which is just what I said you typically do, isn't it? The sad thing is, John, you seem to be an intelligent man, who could be capable of interesting discussion and debate... however, you never seem to choose to interact with people in a respectful, engaging manner - you seem, rather, to consistently prefer to insult and berate people for their opinions, while never putting your own opinions (relevent to topic) out there. It's disappointing, and it's become predictable.

Per his norm, John flits in and out of these comment boards, dropping insults and slams at others... rather than putting his own opinions out there, he chooses to berate the opinions of others. It's unfortunate, really... and does nothing to establish him as little more than a pessimist lacking in self-esteem. (Putting others down in order to make himself feel better.) -- Wish Larry hadn't jumped on that bandwagon - Larry at least is typically willing to state what he believes, and defend/discuss it...

Brad. That would be interesting. I grew up in a small (750+/-) MN town and I would wager there was (and probably still is) at least one shotgun and perhaps a rifle in most of them. It's a hunting area, and my Dad used to provide me with a written excuse so I could get out of school on the then Friday opening of duck season. And it was never questioned by school officials. Sure sounds like folly to me.
