Carl, when my children received the shot through a clinic set up at school I asked the same question. I was told that the Federal government was offering the immunization FREE of charge. The only cost to you would be a clinic fee for administerting the vaccine. In my case, Public Health had agreed to administer the vaccine as a service to the school, so there was no administration charge. If I remember correctly, ACMC's charge to administer vaccines is fairly minimal, $25.00 tops. Many times, if you have insurance, there is an agreement between the clinic and your insurance carrier that the clinic will not charge to administer the vaccine. I hope that information is helpful.
