We need to treat border crossers just like they do in the middle east. Lock em up with no contact to the outside world and make up lies about them. They won't want to flock here if that's the treatment they will get. How many illegals flock to the middle east countries wanting to pretend to be one of their citizens?

The problem with deporting this guy is that he has been here since he was 6 years old - and that was not a decision he made for himself... his parents brought him here, albeit illegally. Are we supposed to deport him to a country he, for all intents and purposes, has never known as home? Are his parents still here? Will they be deported as well? Whatever ID he has been using has been convincing enough to get him two jobs, and enrolled in college... I doubt that either of his employers, or the college that admitted him, intended to "profit" from his status. There's a large number of young adults who were brought into this country illegally by their parents, when they were small children... how are we, as a nation, to deal with that situation? Is the consensus to ship these young adults out... to countries they have not really ever lived in...?

I am unfamiliar with Bush's plan which Luke was referring to but I agree with LYnn (This once, anyway). If they are here illegally, they need to be returned to their respective countries and work on returning legally. If we make exceptions because someone is smarter or a better worker ,we set a bad precedent.

When we deal with these illegals I think it's only fair we make the companies who profited pay for it. How many other small cities across America have been turned upside down by a huge influx of foreign and often illegal labor because their main economy was based on meat packing?

Ted Bundy was a handsome, educated psychopathic law student who stalked and murdered dozens of young college women. Should he be given amnesty? What about the many convicts that have acquired college degrees while in prison and even written successful books? Are their minds too valuable to waste? Padilla is holding 2 jobs illegally, thus denying up to two American workers honorable jobs. Do Americans deserve to be thrown under the bus to allow a good mind in a lawbreakers body an amnesty for breaking our laws? This really does not make sense. Up close Padilla still looks like an illegal alien that has chosen not to take even the first step to rectify his illegal status laid on him by his parents.
