"Why doesn’t the Almighty intervene in world affairs more often and zap the woman with a divine thunderbolt"...joe-lee would be a better target...so we don't have to be subject to thier inane letters...

Brett I went to the Census site: http://2010.census.gov/2010census/index.php and it is saying that there is only one form, the short form and it contains fewer questions than ever before. There is no mention of a long form perhaps you have a link that shows that this long form exists?

Brett do some research on past Census questions and you will find that there were many more questions asked in the past that some would see as intrusive today. Is the long form being used this time? According to at least the AAJC the say the following: In the past, all households received either the short-form questionnaire or the long-form questionnaire, with most households receiving the short-form and one in six receiving the long-form. The long-form questionnaire contained additional questions, such as income levels, language ability and place of birth, and asked for more detailed socioeconomic information. The 2010 Census will only utilize a short-form questionnaire and will count all residents living in the United States. Thus each household will receive a short-form for Census 2010.

Brett by not doing the census don't you defeat the purpose of making sure that there is not taxation without representation? The census is what has been used for years to determine representation in Washington to call for "Leave tax paying Americans out of the data pool!" seems to be going against assuring that we are represented in the tax discussions.

Larry if I may, so lets say that due to the census we loose a seat in Washington and for that next election your choice is between Kline and Bachmann. Who would you choose and why? I see a big difference between these two and I consider Kline to be an independent thinker who is not afraid to speak his mind.

Brett I don't know why you keep bringing up Franken in this, as I told you before I voted for Norm. I just really have a problem with Bachmann and it has nothing to do with political party. I have never voted a straight party ticket, and I firmly doubt I ever will. I listen to issues and I look for people who will set aside the party platform when need be to do the right thing for those they represent.

I am thinking of last year and her false accusations against members of congress being Anti-American, and recently her calling to not work with the census program. She seems to speak on her own on these issues, you never see any of the other Minnesota Republican Representatives standing with her when she makes these claims. Free thinking if one thing, but it seems like she is often standing alone in these types of issues. I am really trying to understand her support base.

Larry what about the Bachmann statements that were shown to be false? I consider John Kline a solid conservative voice, but you don't hear him spouting off about conspericies and making statements that have no truth behind them. (We do hear that from Jesse Ventura though) What makes Bachmann a better Republican than Kline?

Kathy, At least get your accusations straight. Her wanting Minnesotans 'armed and dangerous'" had nothing to do with health care. It was the specific issue of cap & trade. It wasn't even about global warming. Besides, she said she wanted people armed with knowledge, nothing else. As for her saying that a revolution every now & then, that's something that the Founding Fathers espoused. How shameful. Michele Bachmann is out of touch because she agrees with this nation's Founding Fathers, the greatest set of leaders ever pulled together in the history of mankind. DISGRACEFUL!!! NOT!!!!
