Even though I do not know many people in the city of Willmar, they do a great job of keeping the great northwest in focus. I think of the reporting of the passing of a citizen in the area as news, and see it as little difference than telling about a flood, accident, or some current happenings. I enjoy the gentle bantering of alot of people in their discussions, but think it rather childish the way some people tear into each other's personalities. Willmar is a great town in the upper midwest, so the great coverage of the area to the western part of Minnesota is a great service to so many people. keep up the good work, it is much appreciated by so many faithful citizens of the area !

Probably just got tired of superciliousness and what I said yesterday.

What's next for the whiny fools, should we demonize funeral homes?

Being that Kathy posted a comment 1 minute after John, I would bet that Kathy's first comment was not in response to John's... and I would even go so far as to say that she had no knowledge of John's comment, as she was most likely typing her own comment at the time John posted. But by all means, John - continue to think that everyone's talking to/about you...

I learned a long time ago that if your facts won't stand up in an argument or dialogue without baiting, demeaning or belittling , you should just butt out of it.

And isn't it stupid, John?

You are both correct. There comes a time when you think...what the heck is the use. Their conservative minds are so closed it does no good to attempt to dialogue because any opinion other than their own is met with belittling and name calling.

"...the right wing mental cases who dominate the comments section and who demonize everyone who doesn't join their paranoid and delusional world of extremely partisan politics..." - talk about hitting that nail on the head, Terrance! It's easy, the more time one spends here in the comment sections, to forget that there's an entire world of people out there who don't talk to people that way, don't treat people that way, and don't hold the same rigid and sometimes parnoid views of the country, the world. It's important to just shut down the computer, walk out into the world, and talk to people... people who, more often than not, are open, warm, and receptive towards other fellow humans... to remember that this (the website) is an isolated world, sometimes stuck in a conservative vacuum, but isn't neccessarily reflective of the majority of people who you will cross paths with on any given day. :)
