Good to know that you are going to complete your Census Kevin! Hopefully others will not fall for rhetoric but take the time to understand the Census and how it benefits the whole. As for Rep. Bachmann I really don't get where she is coming from, nor to I understand those who support her.

Kevin an answer to your question is found on the Census website. When you highlight each question it explains why it is asked and how the answers are used.

I know Kevin/John and all you other Bachmann lovers, how about we make it more difficult for the government to gather this information. Make that information-gathering process more cumbersome and more expensive. Let's do what we can to make sure our government spends more money than is necessary. Brilliant.

The Census is for more than simply figuring out representation it is also used to help plan on how federal dollars are spent. Kevin Census information is what is often used by people seeking to trace their familiy history so for some people the Census fill in the blanks of their past. It seems to me that Rep. Bachmann displayed a lack of knowledge when she called for Americans to not fill out there whole Census form. Some will argue that she was standing in opposition to ACORN being involved, while partly true, that still does not explain her objections to the questions. Members of her own party are on the record calling her comments irresponsible and without merit. The people of Minnesota deserve not only an explaination but more importantly and apology from her don't you agree?

Kevin let me make your search easy for you. Here are the 10 questions that are asked on the Census: Question 1: How many people were living and staying in this house, apartment, or mobile home on April 1, 2010? Question 2: Were there any additional people staying here April 1, 2010 that you did not include in Question 1? (This question has been asked since 1880). Question 3: Is this a house, apartment, or mobile home? (Question asked since 1890). Question 4: What is your telephone number (Used to follow up on if there is questions about what was filled out). Question 5: Names of people living in the dwelling. Question 6: What is Person 1’s sex? (Asked since 1790). Question 7: What is Person 1’s age and date of birth? (Asked since 1800). Question 8: Is Person 1 Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origin? (Asked since 1970). Question 9: What is Person 1’s race? (Asked since 1790). Question 10: Does person 1 sometimes live or stay somewhere else? Kevin what is objectionable about these?

Bachmann's ignorance is simply stunning. Yet she's still 100 times smarter than Sarah Palin.

So Kevin you object to something that you by your own admission know nothing about. I would encourage you to find out what is being asked before passing judgement on it.

What other questions Kevin do you object to? Do you know what is asked and historically what has been asked on the Census since it started in 1790?

Larry in your often rush to pass judgement you have always assumed to know my position. I have always been clear that I supported Coleman for Senate, and struggled for a long time before making my decison on President this last election and did not select McCain because in the end I disagreed with the Palin selection. In the past I supported Carlson for Governor and have always appreciated the career of Jim Ramsted. So you see Larry I consider myself a moderate in a lot of ways. I personally respect Kline and feel he is a far better representative of the GOP than Bachmann. I am not even sure Bachmann is a representative of the GOP as the more she talks the more she almost sounds Libertarian. While I truly appreciate the independent thinkers, I struggle with Bachmann because she continues to display a lack of knowledge on the things she rails against, and then denies comments instead of admitting she was wrong.
