Brett again READ what I wrote I refered to a "project" that was done by some friends of my son's who were students in a class. I thought it was interesting, and I wish I had a copy. You and I agree on something, we don't all have to agree, however Brett do we have to tear down the other person in the process of disagreeing. See Brett I am pretty sure that unlike you I actually had a class and participated in Debate, and I know full well how to state and defend a side. So kindly don't suggest to me anything that I need thank you. And for the last time on the topic of you falsely accusing me of calling you a Racist let me put it in terms I think you will get. Brett Harry Reid made a "racial statement" about President Obama. The statement was inappropriate and wrong, however Harry Reid's comment should not alone make us belive he is a Racist. Brett your comment at the very start of this thread was also a "racial statement" which is exactly what I said. Are you a Racist? I am sorry I can't make that call based on one statement. Do you get it now?

Larry I merely said this about Brett's first post, "Spanish sounding names" Not at all being racial are we Brett?" I never called him racist he called himself that, go back to the very beginnng of the thread. Brett I can assure you that I understand this issue far better than you my friend. Through my family and my work I have a good understanding thank you.

Difference between our days and today Kevin, those in education have their hands tied and can't deal with the problem in house like in our days. Gone are the days of flying erasers, slaps up side the head, and body slams in lockers. I would guess if the rules of today were there in our days there would have been plenty of folks in the Trib.

Yep Kevin I still can't believe you missed some of those epic battles that took place down by the little gym and near the auto body area. I also remember a coupld of good fist fights at the old 7th street school down the hall near the Library. Sure made those teachers jump and that was back in the day when they actually could drag the trouble maker down the hall to the office.

Brett et al you are actually humorous. Sorry Brett if I offended you, I guess your comment calling on people to make up Spanish sounding names to obtain assistance seemed racial only the fact that you mention a race (Spanish). I think any reasonable person will clearly look at this exchange and see that the term racist was brought out by you Brett not other. Rick there was a statistics class project done by some friends of my son out at the college that spent time looking at the ONLY the police reports printed in the paper. That is where they found their statistical information. I thought it was rather interesting, as it was a good reminder that we often make assumptions based on looks alone, and sometimes we miss the many others who are also guilty.

Thanks John for clarifying. Again Brett who called you racist? YOU DID! John is not being racist at all with his comments. There is a difference Brett between talking about racial issues and making racial remarks. Brett you wrote: "We can give ourselves Spanish sounding names" I guess I would call that a racial remark.

John there are actually a group of people here in Willmar that have studied the reports as far as crime goes and proportianatly your claim is not true. Also John what "Latin Terrorists on airplanes" are you refering too? I have not heard about them, where are they from?
