bill h, Do you have to be so flagrantly insulting? i e 7:40 post? My, my it must be windy way up there while looking down and passing condescending judgements on the rest of us underlings. But I just have toask: Why insult Alaskans? Do you really think they went to the polls and elected someone without a brain? Really? I suppose that is so just because you say it is, right?

VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBANTS!!! Only way we can enact change. Break up the good ole boy network that masquerades as a voice of the people. We The People....demand term limits and drug testing for all elected officials. I have to be drug tested for my job, and my decisions don't nearly affect as many people.

I guess this is the only place where jobs are growing - "Largest-ever federal payroll to hit 2.15 million" Wow, only 3 million more and the promise of 3.5 million jobs created will come true.

I guess the Obamacrat followers are like newborn babies - takes a while before their eyes get open to see what is going on. "The city of Springfield still hasn’t been fully repaid for costs associated with hosting then- U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign stop in the fall of 2008." http://www.sj-r.com/carousel/x231968722/City-still-waiting-for-reimbursement-from-2008-visit-by-Obama "Backdoor taxes to hit middle class" http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100201/bs_nm/us_budget_backdoortaxes Just another tactic from the flim flam man doing a flipflop or is it a another flip flop from the flim flam man.

I think the GOP is the least of Obama's worries. He has to reign in the Democratic Party before he can get anything done. They are just as bad as the "Party of no". Once he is able to grab them by the kahunas and gain some control, he can move his agenda forward. The GOP is afraid of Obama succeeding and the Dems appear almost as determined as they, to prevent it. McCain is looking better and better if only he had had a running mate who actually possessed a brain.

Some people have to address the topic correctly , not meander all over the various voting opportunities our political representatives have. One will note the one vote is addressed to the fillibuster rule which has been used by both parties to their advantage over the many years. It just became important because it is preventing a far leftist agenda from being foisted upon the people who are not accepting it nor the majority of the people who do not want it. The people have put their own house in order as to debt, credit cards, lowered standard of living by tightening the belt, etc., but wonder why the federal governemt seems to have unlimited funds and to go further into debt for programs that are not creating jobs.

To the letter writer - no sir, Earl, your personal single vote does not neccessarily count for a whole lot, thanks to the electoral college system... unless we're talking about a mandatory recount situation. In terms of the senate balance... it hasn't changed all that much yet - still 59 to 41... not that it matters much - the senate is too busy road blocking opposing party members (simply for the sake of road blocking) to get anything of substance accomplished... and that has little to do with majorities and minorities - that's all political game playing, with no regard for job duties.

Luke and the rest, especially joe r. You keep repeating the liberal mantra of the Reps spending spree. But you didn't say anything until now because you were sopping up and at the trough for all the spending that was going on - you enjoyed it as you were the recipients for most of it. Now you complain as you have to confuse and hide from the public all the proposed spending, which is four times the deficits from the previous administration, going again to which you will be the among the recipients. We have had enough of and stopped the "bridge to nowhere" spending , we do not need the "bridge to anywhere and everywhere" spending that is being proposed. Man up and take some ownership and some responsibility of the outrageous spending - the spending going on now cannot be blamed on past administrations.
