Holy cow, Joe, your justifications for defending your positions are getting more lame every time you post. How can you comapare a single incident of some dirt bag shooting in a church to hundreds, even thousands of Middle Eastern "homicide" killings of innocence all over the world? Logically, we should be looking closer at the Middle Eastern types. Maybe that makes too much sense.

Ruben well said and we need to do away with profiling, it has no place in America and all it does is bring division and abuse, and people would know this if they did enough research. Perfect example was the CIA which profiled the wrong person, then kidnapped him off the street, interragated him and even tortured him. Later the man sued and the incident once again showed us just what profiling can do to someone who is innocent. Profiling is done by the feds that much is true, but that is to track a pattern a serial killer, rapist, or robber might be like, and it gives law-enforcement a idea of what they are looking for. Some agencies take it too far, and abuse the practice. First of all Shannon if you knew anything about the Muslim culture they would not be kneeling down on a plane praying before anyone is boarding, which just goes to show where peoples mindset is at! We have no idea where the next domestic or foreign act of terrorism will take place at. Another guy could walk into another church, and start shooting, or someone could walk into their former job and start shooting. So do we look at every white guy who walks into a church that you don't know and say I am not going to church he could be another shooter? We can't allow fear to interfer with our daily lives, or pass judgment on someone, because you then fall into the fear factor, and start racial profiling which has been happening in some cases. This has caused the justice department to take another look at profiling.

Are you kidding? Profiling is one of the most useful tools in fighting crime. It works. I am sorry, but if I am about to get on a plane, and a middle eastern male between the ages of 18 and 35, gets on his knees and says a prayor I am not getting on that plane. Why does it seem when one race or sex is singled out for fitting a profile they get up in arms about it? I for one, know that if a white male that fits my decription is involved in certain crimes I am going to get searched and looked at more. Do i get mad? No, I look for the idiots that are causing me to be looked at different, and I let the authorities know who and where. I guess thats to simple, people would rather cry about it. A nation of Cry babies, is that what we have become?

I disagree completely. Poorly stated. The whole article is based on idealism, not reality.
