Brett A, it would be nice if we could start off with an agreed-upon-set-of-facts. Good luck. See how long that lasts. I think, if I ran the paper, I'd either: expell commentors who aren't repectful and civilized, or, ditch the whole online opinion area (and force people to send in letters with their actual names included).

OK, Larry H. Now, I get it. You are the new appointee assigned to frequently scan this site, then, jump and smother opposing views, on behalf of the little tea-pots. What a position of great honor and respectability. Keep up the good work, maybe you'll get a signed autograph from Dick Cheney.

You know we're going to get some keen observations, when the letter starts out with "Obama and his Mafia-inspired co-horts". Can't Mr. Baker make a civilized comment? What nut-ball media outlet did he borrow that phrase from? Come on.

Mr Baker was doing a fair job touting the new ruling until his last sentence where he became self serving. I'd like to see the incumbents more focused on the job at hand rather than re-election fund raising too, but this will make them completely beholding to their new owners. Term limits and campaigns that are measured in weeks, not years would be a much better solution.
