Sam, I didn't blame and excuse either of them. I was stating how I was saying the exact same thing as you guys, but earlier. I was asking where were you when I was saying these things and getting knocked down for it. Rick said he was asleep, but now he's not. That's good. We can't fall asleep at the wheel. It doesn't matter what party a politician is from, they ALL need to be watched, they usually don't have YOUR best interest at heart.... Yes, I agree Obama and his staff have spent way too much money. I also understand that some or most was needed to stop us from going into a depression. I know, we could be in one but will not know until years later because it takes time to study what was going on and come to the conclusion of depression or recession. Could Obama have done this and spent less, we will never know. We can't rewind and do it again in another way, all we can do is go forward.... As far as your question on spending programs working, they must be doing some things right because people are not sending their children on trains to find homes that can feed them. People are still over weight. Store parking lots still have cars in them. There's still rush hour traffic. Grocery stores still have food on the shelves. We all still have internet. Pay TV companies are still in business. Cell phone use is wide spread. People are still lining up to get the new electronic that's released. I don't see groups of hungry, homeless people wander from place to place looking for food and shelter. Yep, the programs must be doing some good.

Casey- I guess you have no answers for if Obamas programs have worked. Blame Bush. Then spend 4X as much and continue to blame. Nice touch. Yes Bush overspent. Dems have had the "power of the purse" for three years now. Are we better off than three years ago?

"Sam said, Do you think it fair to leave future generations with the bill?"........ That's the same thing I was saying with the last president that was in office. I said no to the new gas tax. I said no to the sales tax hike for arts and water. I said no to sending our auto tax and tab fees to the metro. I said we need to get government under control. I said we need to have a tea party or revolution like they did way back when, to oppose all this spending and taxing. I was shot down every time by the right. Hmmmm. Now you guys are alarmed? Where were you all before Obama?

Casey- Where have the big spending programs that Obama is using worked? Japan lost a decade with these programs. We lost the 1930's with these programs. Where has it worked? Do you think it fair to leave future generations with the bill?

I think we should give the British a more historical gift too like a framed copy of the Deceleration of Independence or we could return a capture British cannon etc. You are right though Casey, who really cares.

Even Jon Stewart could not understand why Obama would use a telepromter with 6th grade students. The rest of the media would have had a hayday with this proving how dumb he was.

Rick, to be honest, I really don't care who gives what gift to whom. My only thought on Obamas gift to the Queen was, does she know how to run one or will she need the grandkids to help her? lol During my searching, it was stated that Brown gives away most of his gifts and those that he keeps, he has to pay money to keep them.

"If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?" No Casey, we would have expected that, we thought Obama was supposed to be smarter, LOL

I snooped Larrys 7:07 post and they say it's real. Ethics violation? Is he saying that because of things she did in the past, some became habits, she doesn't deserve medical treatment? We all know that a lot of people who HAD money and spent money on luxuries, do NOT have money right now and very well could fall under the example of this letter. Also, that letter comes from Mississippi where the population is known as the poorest in our country.
