Why is it that Jennie O is always involved one way or another when it comes to these welfare fraud cases? The local taxpayers might be better served if the INS developed a local office here. Also why is it so easy to defraud this county's welfare system...catch up with the times and start finger printing theses people.

Your right Dar we don't see elderly, but my point was not to accuse the elderly nor to accuse those who are using the programs correctly. It is too simple to say if one receives benefits one should work for the county, because, as I meant to point out clearly, the majority of those in our county who receive these benefits are the elderly so it wouldn't work to make it a rule that with receiving benefits everyone must work for the county.

So Bob K you mean some of the sites you dig up are not far right? Come on I have seen some of these sites. Believe me when I tell you its not just one race involved in fraud, drugs, and assaults, you will be surprised. I do admit one thing, how did this incident happen again, and your right Ben, where was the break down?

Save your time going to the site bob d. mentioned. It is so far left it makes the Daily Kos and Huffington's Post look like a far right winger blog. bob d., you sure can pick'em for getting your information.

bob d., has a bee under his bonnet. Shelby is blocking the appointments(Dems did the same under Bush) because the Senator from Washington is wanting the building of refueling jet tankers(refuel of jet fighters) going to the Boeing Co located in Washington state while Shelby wants the contract to go to McDonnell Douglas Co. which is located in Alabama. It just another Obama version of the Lousiana purchase or the Nebraska kickback or the Union conversion of cadilac health plans into chevrolet health plans. Dems call it jobs while Reps and Americans call it porkulus

But Ben, we don't read about the elderly committing welfare fraud. More than likely they have contributed to society and now need some assistance. Not nearly the same as men and women capable of making a living sucking the coffers dry, is it?

Maybe though Shannon the working aspect of your idea could possibly be a benefit to more than one budget line in government, maybe after they can figure out how to stop the fraud this can be part of the ongoing discussion of reform.
