I lost all respect for him when he accused the Marines of murder before there had even been an investigation. As it stand right now 7 of 8 were totally acquitted, only one is awaiting trial and that for the lesser charge of manslaughter. I rank him right up there with Harry "we have lost the war" Reid.

Vietnam Vet, purple hearts, great supporter of the the military throughout his career, yet also wasn't afraid to criticize when it was warranted. He certainly had the experience and credentials to offer his input, opinion. Great American leader. RIP, Congressman Murtha.

joe r. I have not received an answer from the other day regarding the loss of 3 soldiers and several wounded in a bomb blast in Pakistan outside a school built by aid from the US. All toll, President Obama has sent 200 special force troops into Pakistan without any declaration of war or even a vote of the Congress to intervene. Seems like we have a warmongering Nobel Peace Prize winner here. By the way, Murtha was a Democrat but the representation will be a Republican in the special election as people are beginning to find out the truth.

Well Rick you finally agree that Republicans can be crooks, wow! Hey David maybe you should read a good deal on the whole process of the war of lies and what was found, and what was not found. Simple process, but some of you war loving mongruals seem to think that going to war especially based on a lie is fine. I guess someone like you didn't have to fight in the desert so its easy for you to pretend we belonged there! Lets see we back up Saddam, then bin Laden to help with our former cause. We had the CIA and a good deal of black bag ops and Bin laden still slipped away! Tell us David where is the WOMD, and Bin Laden? Maybe Daivd its you who has been beamed up several times? I guess when you have nothing much to add to your comments you resort to sly remarks, which I love, because it only proves I have a point!

"The Pennsylvania Democrat" Now you can't even read the article before you post joe, go back to Germany. "Murtha was targeted by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington as one of the 20 most corrupt members of Congress." a heck of a guy.
