Yes Lynn, Much like in NY, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia or a lot of other Northern States that get cold weather and snow. I don't know what they do without a dome...Oh yeah play the game.

Cry me a river, Carl. For every one game you don't attend now, I will probably be attending two. Like Chris said, we won't miss you there.

So your solution Carl is to let the team move. (which would happen) and forget about the jobs it creates and the revenue it generates for the MSP area? You didn't really reply to everyone's post about how that revenue and taxes go to help fund education.

Long run is in 20 years you will all be moaning about antiquated fields and expecting everyone to pitch in to help these millionaires have another new field to play their games in.(Want to buy a used dome?) Stepped inside a school lately?

Well put Chris and Steve. I feel the same way as you two. Sometimes i wonder if people look at the long run of something like this before spouting off.

lets face it the Metrodome is an embaracement, The gofer football team got a new stadium, and they barley made it to a bowl game. I went to a couple of wild games an enjoyed the atmoshere at the excell center, great arena. The Twins a quality team, deserve a better stadium. they have one 2 world series . that does allot for downtown metropolitan area. It seems like people would rather spend money on waterfounains and art centers that is a real waste of money if you ask me. Lets get going on a new Vikings stadium before they leave. just look at what happend to the North Stars they left then we had too buy a new team the Wild build a new stadium for them to play in. when all we had to do is build a new arena for the Stars and they would have stayed only spening half as much A bout the only good thing about the Metrodome is the is all the good memories

You curmudeons don't even pay the tax. You don't live in the Twin Cities. I do. It's a sales tax that's 3 cents out of every 20 dollars. Boy, I know I am angry. It's also going to keep libraries open longer, and to rehab basesball fields in the metro area parks. Did you know that these initiatives, almost always, pay back sooner than projected? What's the community value from 30,000 strangers getting together 80 games a year?
