Despite the talk that there is too much partisanship and not enought bipartisanship, if the true meaning and benefits of healthcare reform had been taken seriously, a bill would have passed years ago, during a different administration, even! Today's back and forth is more about political grandstanding, in my opinion, at all levels and branches of government. Appears to be more convenient to just throw around blame then to roll up the sleeves and get to the real work before us!

Brett I couldn't agree more! It is going to take more than talk, and I am sure you will agree that this goes for bothsides of the aisle.

Anyone else finding it humorous that the story is about bipartisan work in Washington yet many comments on here have been nothing more than hammering on the person who holds a different view than you. Wow, those on the attack should watch how critical they are of those in Washington because YOU are just as bad!

Say people the names that you seem to suggests are changed have not changed at all. All have posted on different stories yesterday and today. Not really sure why you want to make such a suggestion but I guess you have your reasons.

Hey Larry, did you see my new favorite quote? "Prison is a Socialist's Paradise, where equality prevails, everything is supplied and competition is eliminated." [Elbert Hubbard, "The Note Book," 1927] I think it is hilarious, but then I am easily amused.

That has always been a recurring problem. They usually contradict themselves if not in the same post, in one shortly after. Then deny it happened. It's like comedy hour, reading their posts. Example, Yesterday, I learned that Lincoln believed in States rights so much, he didn't let them exercise their right to secede from the Union. It's actually somewhat embarrassing reading the posts and then wondering what went wrong with our educational system.

John here is the exact quote of both mine and yours that you are asking about: "When you say this: " I for one will never compromise with a leftist agenda, better red then dead is not in my DNA." are you saying that there is nothing that a Democrat can do that you will agree with? That it is the Republican way or no way? " John I perhaps was wrong in assuming and connecting leftist with Democrat. Sorry for that confusion John.
