"The Democratic party puts their money where their mouth is in regard to the poor." I don't think that is entirely true. More likely a true, more accurate statement would be " The Democratic party takes and puts other people's money when they mouth they are for the poor."

I know that Rick that is why I stated, "if Brooks' findings are correct then we should have no trouble rallying the Republicans to donate time and dollars to the needs of those less fortunate, WITHOUT strings attached and their needing to decide who is worthy of receiving help." Lets rally the troops then, lets stop finger pointing and waiting for solutions and roll up our sleeves together.

Sick and Tired that is all that comes to mind. Democrats can claim they are for the poor and disadvantaged, but instead of keeping the focus on helping the situation when the propose legistlation they heap a ton of extras on the bill that all but assure its failure. Republicans will scream about smaller government and keeping the government out of our personal affairs and not to let the government dictate where I should get my health care, but they sure want the government involved in the personal and private decision to have an abortion! You know what people, enough is enough! We need to help the poor, and their situation is getting worse by the minute as we wait for government to get their act together, it is time to set aside the partisan stuff and simply get out on the street and help your fellow human being. Rick if Brooks' findings are correct then we should have no trouble rallying the Republicans to donate time and dollars the needs of those less fortunate, WITHOUT strings attached and their needing to decide who is worthy of receiving help. As for abortions, you want to stop abortions TALK TO YOUR KIDS ABOUT SEX!! Talk to your kids about the value of life and most importantly how much you value things like marriage and safe sex or abstanance. Stop expecting the Government to do your job as parent!!

No I don't Randy but the democrats have not ended poverty now have they? They use the poor and down and outers for votes the same way the Republicans use abortion. If you want to know the full story read the book "Who Really Cares" by Arthur Brooks. It will really open your eyes.
