The DFLers under major-majority leaders DFLers pogemiller and killeher in the house and senate in St Paul that have been working day and night since this session opened and all t hey have done (up to now with wanting to tax the shirt and shoes we wear earning our daily bread, housing, buy health ins. etc.) so far is spend every cent we Minnesotans have plus what we will earn for years and years. These DFLers have not worked a second looking for any FAT, PORK, Ear marks, etc. that they could cut a cent or two from to help Gov. Tim balance the budget. All t hey are interesting in is spend, spend and then more spending, and order to feed their habit , they want to tax what we need to keep the sun off our backs and the shoes we need to get to work. WOW!!!!! They must not of liked my idea of taxing the AIR we use.

i dont know why they dont talk about putting a sales tax on farm equipment. that would take some of that federal subsidy money and put it in the states coffers. also if farmers are going to drive there equipment on public roads they should have to put some kind of license on there tractors, and trailers that they pull. i pay for my license on my vehicle so i can leagaly drive on the road, everybody should have to pay there share. I cant have off road fuel(no taxes) in my car and drive it down the highway. my trailers have to have a license too. they should also have to pay for a full license of there tractor trailers and there pickups. they should increase the fines on being overweight, because our roads are getting ruined by the people who dont pay taxes to drive on them. have you ever seen a farm pickup pulling a boat or a camper, there only supposed to be used for farm use. these guys have enough money to pay there fair share, if you dont believe me just go have them pop open there shed doors and take a peek inside. go to www.ewg.org and you will se what we give the farmers.

Actually Greg former GOP Governors Quie and Carlson support a tax like this with sunset clause. So do former finance commissioners who served under them and under Gov. Ventura.

Harold what am I giving away???? I advocate cuts to programs that need to be reduced, however Howard I also know that at somepoint we need to generate INCOME, not make money. I am sick and tired of you and your buddies on here assuming that everyone who disagrees with you is from the other party! Harold I have voted just as much Republican as I have Democrat and I will challenge both sides to do better. You however are so blinded by hatred that you can't even see when you contridict yourself with your comments.

ben c every American supports paying taxes, that is when needed, even a increase, again when needed. Ben what Americans are not buying is when you, Mn DFLers. pres b o and his owned Democrat leaders start giving away more than we have to give away and then start printing more ,with borrowed money .

Mn DFLers are not going to cut spending. What has it been so far this year for the DFLers? Spend, spend, and some more spending. Your out of your mind thinking the Mn.DFLErs would ever, ever cut a nickel from their habit of spending. Some might say , not true, if so , why in all these weeks after weeks not a single word form THEM that they would even look at less spending. With the DFLers holding the purse strings, we're out of luck.

Steve P. With that mentality is there anything we should not tax? Red meat, more car tax,, car washes, motion pictures, hair cuts, etc... Times have changed, we do alot of things more than we used to. Hell, lets tax the air you breath.
