NOtice that all the comments about women who don't realize they are pregnant are coming from men? Get off it guys-this is one time where the women have you beat in the knowledge game hands down. Unless you are a doctor-which I kinda doubt because then you would know that what the women are saying is all true.

Not everybody has "normal" flow during their cycles. Cycle flows vary along with when it comes and goes. Everything can be passed off as something else to a point. If she isn't paying attention to herself, it would be easy for her to blame things that should have been red flags onto other things... The woman I knew that had a tiny baby bump was about a size 5 pants(about 115# on a 5' 7" frame). That's far from being heavyset.

First of all, it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a "normal" menstrual cycle when pregnant. A mucous plug seals the cervix off to prevent amniotic fluid from leaving the uterus. You may see "blood spotting," but never the same amount as a period. I agree with the flu-like symptoms portion, however most women don't get one bout of flu-like symptoms at the same time every day for two weeks. The only way a woman would see only a minor, grapefruit sized change in her abdomen would be if she was heavyset to begin with. I've seen that before, and one shouldn't brag about not being able to tell your pregnant if you are overweight. You don't see overweight men talking about they can't see their genitals when they use the bathroom.

If you watched the video from the link provided by Angela, you will see that she was on the pill and still had her periods. She had lost weight before the pregnancy and assumed she was just gaining it back. Do women know they are pregnant if they still have their cycle? Probably not, that's the attention getter that something is up. Without missing her cycles, everything else can be attributed to other things. Morning sickness would be passed off as the flu. Stomach movement would be assumed to be gas. Weight gain, especially in somebody who is or has been heavier is normal, especially in the winter months. Without the missing cycle, the other symptoms would mean other things. Dad didn't know she was pregnant either. With her being on the pill with her cycles, why would she think she's pregnant? I know a woman who had three normal sized babies and her stomach only got the size of a grapefruit.(Lucky girl)

Wow. Agree with you completely Greg. I know some women have different cycles, and maybe they don't throw up, but she really didn't have any idea? Have people gotten to the point where they are too dumb and naive to realize they are having a child? Come on people.

Not every woman gains the wieght like others and not all women have the same type of cycle! I think the fact that she could do it all alone is brave of her and she deserves a medal...I know I couldn't have done it!

It's actually pretty common that people don't have any physical symptoms of pregnancy. Glad everybody's okay!
