A gI'm going to have to mull that one over for awhileun is a gun is a gun? That ranks right up there with A horse is a horse of course, unless it's mister Ed. I'm going to have to mull that one over a little bit more and see if I can make more sense of it all!

Ben...Not sure what your deal is? You mean SURMISE? If so, your vague conjecture is also wrong. I never made any reference to an armed citizen apprehending or approaching this man. Where you get this stuff....I'm sorry, I can't even fathom. Let me state my point once again, very clearly, because it is simple. Carie got it,even though she didn't agree...and was diplomatic about it even. If there are drug runners with high powered weapons in our area, I am very glad that we citizens are also legally allowed to posses weapons. If you can spin that any other way than it is, be my guest. This is why I will forever clash with some people on here. Rest up because tomorrow will hold new logic for you to throw out the window. Keep your broomstick close at hand...it's 'a dangerous in this here city.

My sarcastic sniffer proved quite accurate concerning David G. Quite a collection. Also, thank you police. Wow. You pull someone over, and you never know what all they've got in that car. Thank you.

Andrew and Nicholas why don't you both read my post again. Andrew please show me the law that is on the books that states that only police and robbers may own firearms. Nicholas I will once again point out to you as I did to Andrew, the gun was a NON PLAYER in this whole thing. Andrews post stated that this story was a good example of why people should be armed, my only point was why? Based SOLELY on the story that did NOT include the discharge of a firearm, I could only summize that Andrew felt that private citizen would have pulled their gun had they seen the gun in the car with this guy.

Assault rifle? Hmmm.....I have NEVER assaulted anyone with my SKS (or my FN-FAL, Desert Eagle, etc). However, I will have to look into obtaining an assault toilet. LOL

Thanks for "getting me" Andrew - I appreciate it. You're right - I wasn't bashing you at all. You and I do have different views on the right to carry... but that doesn't mean I think less of you because you enjoy (I don't know that's the right word, but...) being able to "carry", and to arm yourself. Me, personally, I do not own a gun, and wouldn't - however, I do acknowledge that I have the right to choose... and that, were some circumstance to change for me, I may change my mind and appreciate that I have the right to do so. :)
