Kevin most of the Governors line item veto went against Higher Education projects. He kept such things as a Sports Arena and an addition to a Volleyball Center. That is what has people so frustrated, it wasn't that he choose other Higher Ed projects over another.

Right on R.M. Our Governor decided that a Volleyball Center addition and a sporting arena were more important the following through on a promise to Ridgewater and to fund a growing program down at Southwest Technical. Local jobs and local student ignored that is the bottom line.

Kathryn, I don't think you fully understand the article. The remodeling that Ridgewater has done this year was funded using $3.5 million approved in the 2008 bonding bill. Ridgewater was going to remodel the Ag department based on this year's bonding bill. However since it was vetoed by Gov. T.P no remodeling will take place. Money was not designated for this project thus it will not happen.

I feel they shouldn't have started remodeling if they didn't have the money. That's what people in society does. If you don't have money desinated for project don't start it.
