Thee old camping phrase, ‘if you can pack it in, you can pack it out’ would work in this situation.

The banana. A while back I had read an out there article about a woman who was ticketed for throwing her banana peel out her car window. She believed like the rest of us, some critter would feast on it and it would decay, but the cop didn't see it that way.... If you buy plastic bottles, reuse them and recycle them when done. I wished my recycling center near my home took paper board too.

Lynn, Menards is suppose to have a collection box at the customer service counter for CFL bulbs. Otherwise, I believe most electric companies take them, some charge, some don't.

More than 80 % of children who get vaccinated turn into bleeding heart liberals. The other 20 % become cognitively impaired, think only inwardly, and vote republican. I have a link/site for this somewhere.....

I'm glad he's OK with banana peels. Isn't the banana great? It comes in it's own biodegradable package. Gee, I'm sure glad he's OK with banana peels.

Lynn, Which factory in CHINA you referring to?? All CFL's come from China...As far as disposal, Menards & Home Depot have a collection site. With CFL's we are concerned with Mercury release if broken. Well over 40% get broken when depositing at collection sites...but at least it makes you feel like you made an effort...to save our planet!

Steven: Couldn't agree more with you're point of view, including there is no harm tossing out an apple core or banana peel. People's thoughtlessness for others when it comes to fouling the living spaces that we all share knows few limits. Even dirty diapers, the worst offense of all in my book. I have a suggestion for those who do care about the cleanliness of your own village or city, when you go for a walk take along a baggie and pick up trash on your route. Like the "broken window" rule of crime blight, litter begets litter whether in neighborhoods or along highways ... best wishes, Rand
