The colors of early autumn are on display in the Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge near Ortonville Monday. Maple trees along the Minnesota River are showy reminders of the season, but don’t miss the far more subdued, but enchanting colors offered by the open prairie grasses and forbs in the refuge.
