... dunk a football over a goal post in an NFL game?

(After scoring a touchdown against Tennessee on Jan. 3, the former basketball star fulfilled a dream.)
My brother (Alex) and I had always watched NFL games together and I remember Tony Gonzalez, a tight end for the Chiefs (now with the Falcons) who was also a very good college basketball player, always dunk the football over the goal post after he scored a touchdown. I couldn't do it in high school or college because it would be a penalty. And I didn't want to dunk the football if we were behind or way ahead. I caught a touchdown pass in the first quarter in the last game of the season to tie the game and I was actually going to spike the ball. But all my teammates were around and I didn't want the ball to bounce back up and hit them. So I figured it was my chance to dunk it over the goal post. As I was running over there, I kept thinking how much I hoped I wouldn’t miss. The goal post is 10 feet tall, the same as a basketball hoop, but I'd never dunked with pads and a helmet on before. I'd always dunked a basketball with my left hand, so I dunked it over the goal post left handed. Luckily, I made it over.
