SUNBURG — Harold Elsworth Johnson, 79, of rural Sunburg, died Thursday at his home.

SUNBURG — Harold Elsworth Johnson, 79, of rural Sunburg, died Thursday at his home.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake in rural New London. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home in New London and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born Oct. 25, 1930, in Willmar to Hans and Esther (Sakariason) Johnson. He grew up on the family farm near Sunburg. He attended District 13 country school before attending New London High School. He began farming in 1949 and farmed until his retirement, but continued to live on his farm until his death. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake.
He survived by his brother: Tallack (and Janice) Johnson of Detroit Lakes; one nephew and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
