William Olson May 25, 1945 – Oct. 10, 2009

SAN RAMON, Calif. — William M. Olson, 64, of San Ramon, Calif., died Oct. 10 after a short-term illness.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at Mt. Olivet Rolling Acres Lutheran Church in Excelsior. Memorials preferred to the National Psoriasis Foundation, 6600 SW 92nd Avenue, Suite 300, Portland, OR 97223-7195 or the charity of the donor’s choice.

He was born May 25, 1945, in Los Angeles to Ernest and Winifred (Westberg) Olson. The family moved back to Willmar when he was 5 and lived with his grandfather. They later moved to Minneapolis and he graduated from Washburn High School.

He married Margo Bergeson on Sept. 16, 1972, in Richfield. They moved to California in 1973.

He is survived by his wife; children: Paul (and Katherine) Olson of Texas and Peter Olson of California and Mary Peterson of Delaware; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother: Robert (and Sue) Olson of San Diego.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
