Now, we apparently would like the state to give us millions to build a veterans’ home. Our veterans deserve the best possible services we can give them. Absolutely, we owe them everything.

MANTORVILLE, Minn. — A man from southeastern Minnesota has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to murdering his wife and son and trying to kill his two daughters, who survived because the young boy intervened.

Cancer Center open house Saturday
The Willmar Regional Cancer Center will host a public open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. The cancer center is in the west wing of Rice Memorial Hospital. Guests are asked to use Door E or the hospital main entrance, both on the north side of the building.

Elvis is in the building
Rice Care Center marked what would have been Elvis Presley's 75th birthday Friday with a rock and roll party, complete with dancing and Elvis impersonator Tony Farley, of Ham Lake. Farley is the son-in-law of Jim Fluck of Willmar, who is a resident at Rice Care Center.
