Hastings man, convicted of criminal sexual conduct of infant, must serve 18 years in prison. 
Dakota County District Judge Joseph Carter sentenced Michael Frederick Schmidt, 41, Hastings, to a sentence of 27 years, 18 of which must be served in prison. The remainder of the sentence must be on supervised probation, and Schmidt must register as a sexual offender.
