Letter: Voters must get involved

Enough is enough of mudslinging, cheap talk with very little intellectual, historical understanding of what made America strong.

The West Central Tribune opinion page for Oct. 22 had a piece called "A vote for America's survival" that helped wake me up. Each and every loyal American voter needs to be involved in this year's election. It is not about all the flowery rhetoric, money spent or who says what, but about honesty, trust, experience and a history of accomplishments to our American way of life.

We live in a time of wars and rumors of wars. Our leaders need sober soundness and understanding of who the enemy really is, a trust in God and be able from the heart to say, "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands." Then you will know how to vote. Vote you must.
