Letter: Leadership in perilous times
An open letter to our new president-elect, Barack Obama
First, congratulations and God's blessings on you and our good old United States of America.
In these times of economic uncertainty, vanishing savings, job layoffs, business closing, etc., we find ourselves in very uncertain times. Fear can grip you as to "what else can go bad?"
I put my faith first in our Lord, but in you, too, Barack Obama, to lead our nation through these perilous times.
I also know you won't forget your bringing up by the boot straps as our new leader. You won't forget the poverty-stricken and the wage earner and the middle-class citizens.
"Listen to the cries of the poor." Proverbs 21:34
