Letter: A testament to the community
Back in March, I went on a cruise during spring break to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico. I had met some of your staff on board and they encouraged me to come to the Willmar performance the next evening.
My first thought was, "They are crazy, I would never bring students on a cruise." Those thoughts soon changed as throughout the trip I noticed the positive behavior of your students. I primarily am writing to let you know how much I enjoyed the performance as a whole. I was especially impressed by the song selection of the choir.
What an involved and encouraging community you must live and teach in! Thank you for keeping the fine arts programs in your school a success. As a fellow teacher, I am aware of districts making fine-art cuts. I hope the community you live in recognizes the importance of fine art programs and the positive outcomes. Be encouraged to continue what you do. I wish you all the best.
