Registration now open for Ridgewater Summer Camp
WILLMAR -- Registration is open for the Ridgewater College Summer Camp for children going into grades 5-8.
The camp will be held from July 18-21 on the college's Hutchinson campus and from July 25-28 on the Willmar campus. The camp is in session from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
The camp allows students to explore a variety of career interests and recreational activities by giving them hands-on experiences.
New sessions this year include digital media, biology, history, movie making, the science of fireworks, and Japanese culture.
Back by popular demand will be sessions on car engines, custom graphics, desktop publishing, simple computer programming and health careers. Each camp may offer different types of sessions.
On the last day of each camp, family members and friends will be invited to join campers as they showcase their achievements.
The cost of the camp is $79 per students if registered by June 10, and $99 for those who register after June 10.
The cost includes four days of hands-on supervised activities, materials, lunches, a T-shirt, and other items.
Early registration is encouraged because class sizes are limited and some sessions fill early.
The camps are sponsored by Ridgewater College Customized Training and Continuing Education Department, a Student Success grant, the West Central Integration Collaborative, Central Minnesota Jobs and Training and the New Discoveries Montessori Academy.
