Video: Better Health through Bone Building at Willmar Community Center

Each Tuesday and Thursday men and women gather at the Willmar Community and Activities Center for a one-hour workout starting at 10:15 a.m. The Ecumen RSVP Bone Builders is designed  by experts to prevent or reverse osteoporosis. The sessions are free with space donated by WCER. Volunteer trainers Lila Rekedal and Eileen Brouwer lead the exercises. Twice yearly ACMC provides a physical therapist to measure the progress of each participant. Weights are provided free of charge. According to  the Ecumen Retired Senior Volunteer Program brochure, "Participants reported increased strength, better balance, more energy and feelings of well-being."
