Law still searching for Andrew Joseph Dikken

Multiple law enforcement agencies are continuing their search today for Andrew Joseph Dikken in regards to the double homicide shooting on Sept. 2 in Granite Falls. Anyone with information on Dikken or see him should immediately call the Granite Falls Police Department, Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Department or 911.

GRANITE FALLS — Area law enforcement agencies are assisting the Granite Falls-based law agencies in their ongoing search for Andrew Dikken today.

That’s according to Yellow Medicine County Sheriff Bill Flaten, who called the Tribune this morning to provide that information. The agencies are continuing their search for Andrew Joseph Dikken, 28, of Granite Falls and formerly of Renville.

Dikken is being sought in the Sept. 2 shooting death of Kara Monson, 26, and Christopher Panitzke, 28, formerly of Redwood Falls. Panitzke died Sunday at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Monson and Panitzke were shot in their Granite Falls home. Monson died at the scene, but Panitzke was able to make a 911 call to summon help.

Monson’s funeral is at 11 a.m. this morning at Granite Falls Lutheran Church.
