Two hurt in ATV crash northeast of Hector, Minn.
OLIVIA — The juvenile driver of an ATV that crash around 7 p.m. Thursday northeast of Hector was airlifted from the scene to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of her injuries.
According to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, emergency responders were called to 82441 County Road 22, which is about two and half miles northeast of Hector, and found that a juvenile female was driving a 2001 Polaris Trail Boss ATV northbound in the ditch and struck a telephone pole.
Both the driver and another juvenile female were ejected from the ATV. The driver sustained serious injuries and the passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Buffalo Lake Ambulance to Hutchinson Area Health Care Center.
Also responding were the Buffalo Lake police and ambulance, Hector Ambulance and North Air Care.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
